We call our small groups Shepherd Life Class. They meet on Sunday mornings @ 9:15. There is a class for all ages. This is a good place to grow in your relationship with God and to get to know one another.
Our Purpose: Jesus placed a high value on children. Preschoolers and children are very important to us at Good Shepherd Church. We follow an educational approach during the preschool years, and not just a “keeping/watching” approach. We know the value of permanent teachers and leaders for all classes and activities for children. We have a wonderful ministry team who serve in some capacity in preschool and children’s leadership. Our Senior Shepherds Life Group is taught by Jewel Rainey and Ron Buckner. Both these teachers brings years of experience in teaching Bible studies and their knowledge o the Bible brings more depth to the lessons. They us the “Explore the Bible” literature and are now studying the Gospel of John. They meet in Room #2 across the Fellowship Hall. They would love for you to come and join them.
This Life Groups meets in the Worship Center and is taught by Rev. Bill Young, Jr. and his wife, Dianne. They are taking their time and starting in Genesis, they are going through the Bible. They have a print out of each lesson and encourage questions and comments. Bill and Dianne have years of teaching experience along with historical knowledge which gives better understanding to the lessons.
Activities are found here for all our youth.

This ministry is to contact those to be baptized a week in advance of the Baptismal Service. The teams members prepare the pool for the baptismal service, empty the pool when the service is completed. They also provide clean towels and robes to those being baptized. This ministry sends birthday cards, visits hospitals and sends flowers and cards tomembers and regular attendees that are hospitalized or homebound. GLORY & GRACE Ministry…. based on Ephesians 1:6 “to the praise and glory of His grace – by which He made us acceptable in the Beloved.” Glory & Grace is a place where all women can come together for fellowship, encouragement and learn how to apply God’s word to their daily lives. Kathy Huber leads this team that duplicates copies of CD’s and Bible Studies for distribution to nursing homes, the homebound and anyone that request a certain CD. If there is a sermon or Bible study you would like a copy of, there are forms in the lobby of the church for you to fill out and give to Kathy.
