Jesus places a high value on children. Preschoolers and children are very important to us at Good Shepherd Church. We follow an educational approach during the preschool years, and not just a “keeping/watching” approach. We know the value of permanent teachers and leaders for all classes and activities for children. We have a wonderful ministry team who serve in some capacity in preschool and children’s leadership. Background checks are required for all youth and adults who serve in the children and youth ministries. We seek to maintain high educational and quality standards such as teachers/child ratios and long-term commitment from adults who teach and lead children. We have measures in place to help ensure the safety and security of every child.
The primary responsibility for Biblical, spiritual development is given to parents as clear instructions in the Bible. We strive to support parents and give them the tolls and assistance to model and teach Biblical principles for their children.
“No person stands as tall as when they sit or stoop to a child’s level to share the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.”

Our purpose is to partner with parents to lead your child to a personal and maturing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our priorities are to create a ministry that reaches, teaches, and loves all children as well as communicate the Bible in relevant, reative ways so your child can apply Biblical truths.
